Η 96η τελετή των βραβείων Oscars κύλησε και φέτος ομαλά, με τον παρουσιαστή Jimmy Kimmel να φέρει εις πέρας την αποστολή που του ανέθεσε η Αμερικανική Ακαδημία Κινηματογράφου, καταφέρνοντας να αποδείξει τον λόγο που βρέθηκε σε αυτή τη θέση για 4η φορά. Φέτος, ήταν μία καλή χρονιά με εξαιρετικές ερμηνείες, συγκινητικές ταινίες, προσεγμένα σενάρια και φυσικά την creme de la creme του Hollywood. Το κόκκινο χαλί του Dolby® Theatre στο Ovation Hollywood για ακόμα μία φορά τρένταρε στα social media, αποτελώντας την κορύφωση της περιόδου των βραβείων, ενώ σε ό,τι αφορά τα αποτελέσματα, η αλήθεια είναι πως δεν υπήρξαν μεγάλες εκπλήξεις, καθώς οι προηγούμενες απονομές μάς είχαν προϊδεάσει για την εξέλιξη.
