Λίγες ημέρες πριν την ανακοίνωση των υποψηφιοτήτων των Όσκαρ, είχε ήδη σκιαγραφηθεί το σκηνικό για το πώς θα εξελιχθούν τα πράγματα από τις υπόλοιπες απονομές που έλαβαν χώρα μέσα στον Ιανουάριο.Oppenheimer, Poor Things και Barbie βρέθηκαν στους νικητές της award season και φαίνεται πως και στην απονομή των βραβείων της Ακαδημίας θα διεκδικήσουν μία “θέση στον ήλιο”. Οι Zazie Beetz και Jack Quaid που ανακοίνωσαν τα αποτελέσματα από το Samuel Goldwyn Theater, έκαναν ξεκάθαρο πως οι ταινίες αυτές θα μας απασχολήσουν μέχρι την τελετή που θα λάβει χώρα τον ερχόμενο Μάρτιο, όπως και το Holdovers, γεγονός που δεν αποτέλεσε έκπληξη.
Όπως έχει ανακοινωθεί η τελετή απονομής των Όσκαρ θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 10 Μαρτίου στο Dolby Theatre στο Ovation Hollywood στο Λος Άντζελες με παρουσιαστή τον Jimmy Kimmel.
